That's me, standing.

In 2008, I had my first book published: YOU WANT FRIES WITH THAT? A White-Collar Burnout Experiences Life at Minimum Wage. (Arcade, NY. NY) It's about a year in my life when I worked minimum wage jobs. One of the chapters was about working in an ER. I'm not saying this is the ER, and the ER Doc was my best friend John Walters, but... here's a photo of us. You know, just hanging out. In an ER.

This is the jumping off point for my other blogs...

If you scroll down a bit, you'll find the topics I write about, and where to find said musings.

The Me I Try Not to Be...

Most of my blogs are musings I've put to bed... and except for adding political commentary to UncleUncleUncle.com, they will be static.

This blog is the one where I will add things that I find insightful, amusing, or appropriately moronic.

For My Nephews

This is a blog written to my nephews about the lessons I've learned in life. It uses the epic film Lonesome Dove as a video guide.

There Be Dragons Here

This is my blog about the discoveries I've made during my Christian walk.

It is specifically written for (and to) people who are thinking, "You know, I believe it's time for me to investigate Christianity. I just wish I could find someone who would discuss it in Layman's terms."

Author Rant

The full title of this blog is Author Rant: They Don't Call it the Submission Process for Nothing

In short, it answers the question, "What's it really like to get your first book published?" It's a true story-- I had my first book published in 2008. (FYI, the website for that book is www.SouthernFriedWriter.com )

Unless you've successfully navigated the waters of The Submission Process, chances are that everything you think you know is... well, let's call it optimistically skewed.

Want to know what really goes on behind the publishing curtain?

I'm you Huckleberry.

Uncle Uncle Uncle

I've been a columnist for The Charleston Mercury for about five years, covering Politics and Religion. Our nation has gone so freakin' insane I feel there's little left to say, except, "I give. Uncle. Uncle. Uncle."

This blog contains the columns that have inspired the most response. Conservatives applaud, and liberals let me know their feelings.

I'm not that big on feelings.
